Position: Physical Properties Testing Operator

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

KEDA Zambia Ceramics invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Physical Properties Testing Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests to evaluate the physical properties of ceramic tiles and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical property testing on ceramic tiles, including:

• Flexural strength
• Modulus of rupture
• Water absorption
• Water permeability
• Stain resistance
• Thermal stability
• Record, analyze, and report test results accurately
• Ensure all testing activities comply with established quality standards and procedures
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration
• Observe laboratory safety rules and good housekeeping practices
• Support the Quality Control team in daily quality assurance activities

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in a science-related field (Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Laboratory Technology, or related)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in laboratory testing or quality control, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ceramic tile testing methods will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in basic computer applications
