Purpose
Coordinate, monitor, and control the execution of scheduled maintenance activities for TUMI machines (Raise Boring, Box Hole, Loader, etc.), including the preparation and management of maintenance budgets and cost control. Oversee the progress of operational programs across mining sites, ensuring compliance with assigned objectives, monitoring contractual milestones, and proactively identifying and reporting any deviations or risks that may impact project schedules and customer commitments.
Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of materials required for the maintenance department in coordination with the Logistics Department.
- Coordinate with the Supply Chain Department and follow up on the delivery of materials and spare parts.
- Develop overall maintenance plans, perform failure analysis, and coordinate activities with technical teams.
- Consolidate maintenance backlogs reported by operators through inspection checklists.
- Maintain and update the preventive maintenance program for project equipment.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports on preventive and corrective maintenance compliance.
- Estimate the costs, timelines, and resources required for maintenance activities.
- Prepare and monitor the department's monthly and annual operating budget (OPEX).
- Manage fleet component control and monitor deviations from established targets.
- Supervise the accurate recording of equipment operating hours in the system.
- Prepare monthly equipment valuations and reports requested by internal and external clients.
- Consolidate and analyze maintenance performance indicators, including reliability, maintainability, efficiency, and costs.
- Manage and ensure the execution of maintenance plans in accordance with monthly and annual schedules.
- Administer, monitor, and ensure compliance with approved contracts with clients, from project execution through completion, tracking contractual milestones and deadlines.
- Be responsible for updating, consolidating, and controlling the monthly progress of Raise Boring and Box Hole machines across all service units, as well as maintaining project records to ensure full traceability.
- Manage monthly reports received from mining operations, keeping company revenue records updated and consolidating information for internal departments and clients.
- Review and evaluate service unit reports, progress valuations, extension of time requests, final settlements/final valuations, and any other documentation or procedures related to the administration of assigned contracts.
- Follow up on requests and action items identified in weekly service unit reports with the responsible departments.
- Provide information and support for the assessment of client claims or penalties by the relevant departments, with the objective of preventing or minimizing contractual penalties.
- Manage the custody and organization of project documentation through an effective electronic filing system, ensuring proper classification by project and efficient document retrieval.
- Maintain control of project logbooks, project commencement and handover certificates, as well as service start-up and completion records. Prepare and present monthly Operations Department management indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare monthly drilling/raise completion summaries and annual consolidated reports, highlighting service incidents and operational deviations.
- Be responsible for preparing and distributing the minutes of Operations Planning and Control Committee meetings, ensuring communication of agreements to the involved departments.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management, in accordance with the nature and responsibilities of the position.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mining Engineering or related fields
- Minimum 4 Years of proven experience in maintenance planning and heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of budgeting and project scheduling.
