JOB DETAILS:

Role Overview:

In charge of operations at the tank house. Monitor electrolyte flows, tank levels, current flow, and cathode quality, ensuring all set parameters are within target. Must adhere to strict safety procedures and regulations, especially concerning electrical hazards in the tank house.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow safety guidelines and protocols
• Operating and maintaining the equipment used in the electrowinning process.
• Ensure that the following operational parameters are within spec: Advance and Spent flows, Smoothening reagents dosage , Circulation flow and cell flow, Cell temperature
• Ensuring daily cell inspections by paying attention to the following: Cell alignment and cathode contacts, Anode contacts and physical appearance, Cathode deposition quality
• Coordinate with assistant operators and other plant operators, especially the solvent extraction operators.
• Carry out any other operator duties assigned

Preferred candidate qualifications & experience

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a tank house (mining environment)
• Valid Silicosis Certificate
• Sober-minded person
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Pass medical, drug, and background check
