Background

Our client, in the Energy and Petroleum Industry, a downstream oil and gas company operating retail service stations, fuel depots, and bulk supply chains across the country wishes to hire the following positions.

Job Purpose

To execute plumbing works for petrol-station construction, including water supply, drainage, wash bay, restroom facilities, and general building plumbing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair water supply, drainage, and sewage systems for petrol station buildings and wash bays.
  • Fit plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, showers, taps) and connect to municipal or borehole water systems
  • Install fuel-related plumbing such as interceptor tanks, oil-water separators, and drainage channels where required.
  • Read and interpret plumbing drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
  • Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, and corrective repairs.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and work records.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Trade test or certificate in Plumbing/Building Services.
  • TEVETA or relevant Zambian trade certification.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ plumbing experience in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Prior experience in petrol-station or service-station projects is preferred.

Competencies

  • Proficiency in pipe fitting, jointing, and fixture installation.
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and environmental regulations (especially for oil water separation).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

  • Site-based with exposure to wet and dirty environments.
  • Physical work involving lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
