Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employees for the position of Plumber to join the versatile Maintenance Team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Supervisor - Plumbing, you will be responsible for maintaining site infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient water systems, and supporting uninterrupted mining and maintenance activities.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, pipelines, fixtures, and water infrastructure.
- Inspect and troubleshoot leaks, blockages, equipment faults, and system failures.
- Maintain and repair industrial water supply and drainage systems across the mine site.
- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and inspection of SPU pumps within macerator tanks, including those associated with the sewage treatment plant.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of plumbing installations across building infrastructure to ensure proper operation, safety, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs in line with maintenance schedules.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency plumbing issues.
- Work closely with maintenance teams to support operational needs and minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
- Minimum Trade Certificate in Plumbing and sheet metal or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a mining industry or similar
- Knowledge of water systems, pumps, valves, pipes, fittings, and industrial plumbing infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and compliance requirements.
- Physically fit to meet the demands of mine site work.
- Holder of a valid Zambian driver’s license will be an added advantage
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
