Job Type: Full-time
Speciality Eggs Limited is looking for a dedicated Poultry Attendant to join its team and contribute to the production of high-quality eggs through excellent poultry management practices.
Available Positions
Key Responsibilities
- Feed and water layers and pullets according to the feeding schedule.
- Collect, grade, and accurately record egg production.
- Monitor flock health and report any signs of disease or abnormalities.
- Maintain proper housing conditions, including lighting, ventilation, temperature, and cleanliness.
- Clean and disinfect poultry houses, equipment, and surrounding areas.
- Assist with vaccinations, beak trimming, bird transfers, and other flock management activities.
- Ensure biosecurity measures are followed, remove mortalities, and dispose of them according to company procedures.
- Maintain daily records and report issues relating to stock, feed, water, and equipment.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Farm Supervisor.
Requirements / Who Should Apply
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Certificate or Diploma in Poultry Production, Animal Science, or a related field is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of poultry husbandry, flock management, and biosecurity practices.
- Physically fit and willing to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
- Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
