Ntapanza Farms is a well-established agricultural enterprise dedicated to sustainable and high-quality agricultural production. The farm is seeking an experienced, committed, and results-driven professional to join the team as Poultry Manager.

Applicants must be mature, responsible individuals who can commit to long-term rural living and work.
Applicants must be 40 years or older.
This opportunity is best suited to individuals who have lived in villages or worked on farms, particularly those with extensive livestock management experience.
The farm is located in a remote rural area with limited network connectivity and is far from the nearest town.
Candidates must be comfortable living and working in a rural environment with minimal amenities.
Only serious applicants who can adapt to and thrive under rural hardship conditions should apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of commercial poultry operations and day-to-day farm management.
- Ensure high standards of poultry health, nutrition, welfare, and biosecurity.
- Supervise, train, and manage poultry staff.
- Monitor housing, feeding systems, vaccination schedules, and flock performance to maximise productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of production, mortality, feed consumption, medication, vaccinations, and financial performance.
- Analyse production data and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Work closely with farm ownership to improve operational efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with farm policies and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a commercial layer poultry operation.
- Demonstrated experience managing 10,000 or more layer birds.
- Strong knowledge of commercial layer production, poultry nutrition, health, biosecurity, and disease prevention.
- Excellent record-keeping and reporting skills with the ability to analyse production data.
- Good understanding of the poultry market, including production planning, egg quality standards, and market demands.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A proven track record of successfully managing commercial poultry operations.
