The Key Purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain the Packaging plant to produce a consistent product/service/utility of the right quality/quantity at optimum cost.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate Packaging plant and equipment
Prepare for plant start up
Start-up plant
Run the plant
Shut down the plant
Execute cleaning of plant
Complete all documentation
Control inputs usage
Ensure plant is in working order
Safe maintenance practices
Maintain safe and healthy work environment
Operate the equipment according to the work instructions and adhering to safe working practices at all times
Maintain the equipment according to good maintenance practice
Monitor and control the Packaging process
Measure performance attributes
Record performance attributes
Monitor and evaluate trends
Assure quality of inputs
Initiate corrective action
Perform autonomous maintenance
Prepare for maintenance tasks
Conduct autonomous maintenance tasks
Conduct breakdown maintenance tasks
Work in teams
Communicate effectively in the workplace
Contribute to self and team development
Plant Performance
Packaging Shift efficiencies
Product/Service/Utility Quality
Product/Service/Packaging Quality checks as per required frequencies
Usage ratios
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
3-6 months on the job training
1 year in manufacturing industry
