Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to oversee our biofuel production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement production strategies to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of the production facility, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with quality control standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
  • Monitor production output, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the production team to achieve high performance.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure all machinery is in good working order.
  • Prepare production reports and analyze performance data.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in the biofuel or chemical industry.
  • Proven track record of managing production processes, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Strong knowledge of biofuel production processes and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in production planning and control systems.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and safety regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience working in Zambia or similar developing economies is an advantage.
