Royal Therapy Mental Health Services is inviting applications from qualified, passionate, and dedicated individuals to fill the following positions:

Position 2: Psycho-Social Counsellor

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Hold a Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • Hold a Diploma in Psychosocial Counselling.
  • Be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
  • Be based in Ndola or willing to work from Ndola.
  • Be ready and available to start work immediately.
  • Possess excellent counselling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be compassionate, emotionally resilient, and committed to supporting clients' recovery.

Experience needed

  • Experience in mental health, rehabilitation, or healthcare will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Provide individual, group, and family counselling.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop intervention plans.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation and relapse prevention sessions.
  • Maintain accurate counselling records and case notes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
  • Monitor clients' progress and provide follow-up support.
  • Participate in community mental health awareness and outreach programmes.
