Job Purpose:

To provide efficient and friendly service to customers by dispensing fuel, checking vehicle fluids, cleaning windshields, and ensuring accurate cash or card transactions while maintaining safety and cleanliness at the station.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fuel Dispensing:
• Dispense petrol, diesel, and other fuels accurately as requested by customers.
• Ensure proper handling of fuel pumps and nozzles to avoid spillage and accidents.
• Customer Service:
• Greet customers politely and offer prompt assistance.
• Provide information on station services, products, and promotions.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
• Cash Handling and Record Keeping:
• Collect payments (cash, card, or vouchers) and issue receipts.
• Balance cash drawer and sales at the end of each shift.
• Report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Vehicle Checks:
• Check engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, and tire pressure upon customer request.
• Clean windshields and mirrors when necessary.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow all safety procedures and fire prevention measures.
• Report any leaks, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Wear appropriate protective gear (uniform, gloves, etc.).
• Station Maintenance:
• Keep the forecourt, pumps, and surrounding area clean and tidy.
• Dispose of waste properly and ensure equipment is in good working order.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of a high school certificate (Grade 12).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic arithmetic and cash-handling ability.
• Honest, reliable, and physically fit.
• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
