Company: China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) – Head Office
CCECC Head Office is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the company’s commercial, cost control, measurement, and contract management activities, working closely with project and management teams to ensure effective financial and contractual management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, valuations, and payment applications.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost assessments for construction works.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and financial performance.
- Assist with the preparation and review of contracts, subcontracts, and commercial documentation.
- Evaluate contractor and subcontractor claims, variations, and payment applications.
- Prepare cost reports and provide accurate commercial information to management.
- Support tender preparation, pricing, and evaluation of bids.
- Assist in contract administration and commercial negotiations.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, measurements, variations, and contractual documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure effective cost management.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Relevant educational background in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Quantity Surveying, or related fields.
- Professional Qualifications: Holding a Junior or Intermediate Engineer Certificate is preferred.
- Work Experience: 2–3 years of relevant work experience in quantity surveying, construction, engineering, cost management, or a related field.
- Preferred Background: Candidates who have studied in China or have experience working with Chinese enterprises are strongly preferred.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of construction costs, measurement, BOQs, contracts, and commercial procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with deadlines.
- Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a professional, multicultural environment.
