Mercury Express Logistics is hiring a motivated and results-oriented Field Sales Executive for our Ndola office. If you’re passionate about sales, building lasting client relationships, and thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment—this could be the opportunity for you.
Main Purpose of the Role
To drive profitable revenue growth by developing face-to-face and over-the-phone sales with both new and existing customers. You will focus on building long-term client relationships across Ad-hoc, Small, Medium, and Large customer classifications. This position reports to the Copperbelt Regional Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Market Engagement & Sales Development
- Conduct face-to-face visits and sales presentations to potential and existing clients
- Generate new business opportunities and meet assigned revenue targets.
- Observe and report on local market trends and their impacts on customer activity.
- Collect competitor intelligence such as rate tariffs, brochures, and promotional materials.
- Share gathered information with the sales team to enhance strategic decisions.
- Forward all market and competitor insights to the Copperbelt Regional Manager
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure high levels of retention.
- Offer tailored Mercury Express Logistics solutions that meet specific customer needs.
- Maintain a professional and consultative approach throughout the sales process.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration
- A Degree in a related field is an added advantage
- 2–5 years of proven face-to-face sales experience, preferably in courier or express logistics
- Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship building
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Good knowledge of the express distribution and logistics industry
- Must be computer literate.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required
