JOB DETAILS:
About the Role
We are looking for a Research Intern to support our core work, research design, data collection and analysis, and proposal development. You will work closely with a small, agile team and get exposure to real-world projects in policy research, program evaluation, and strategic advisory.
Key Responsibilities
- Support desk research and literature reviews on thematic focus areas (e.g., youth employment, health, education, entrepreneurship)
- Assist in the design and execution of data collection tools (surveys, interviews, focus groups)
- Clean, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data
- Draft short reports, briefing notes, and data summaries
- Help write proposals and concept notes for funding opportunities and partnerships
- Contribute to research and pipeline tracking
- Support development of infographics and slide decks for presentations
- Participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions as part of a small team
- Perform administrative or support tasks related to projects, as needed
Requirements
- Final-year student or recent graduate in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Economics, Data Science, or related fields
- Solid research and writing skills, with attention to clarity and structure
- Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with a data analysis tool (SPSS, R, Python, or STATA) is a plus
- Basic understanding of the proposal development process
- Curious, analytical, and self-motivated
- Interest in policy, research, and working in an early-stage, impact-driven organization
