Background

ZAMSEED is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Research Technician – Maize.

Position Available

Research Technician – Maize

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maize breeding and variety evaluation programs
• Manage breeding nurseries and field trials
• Collect, capture, and maintain research data
• Maintain seed stocks and inventory
• Supervise field labour and support farm operations

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Crop Science, Plant Breeding, or related field
• Experience in maize breeding, trial management, and data analysis
• Proficiency in MS Office, statistical software, breeding software, and database systems
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: postgraduate degree
