Role Overview
Spectrum Credit Limited is seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented, and ethical individual to join our team as a Risk and Compliance Intern. The successful candidate will support the Risk and Compliance Department in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices while gaining valuable hands-on experience in compliance operations.

Lusaka, HQ
Key Responsibilities
The role will include, but not be limited to:
- Supporting compliance monitoring activities and identifying potential risks.
- Assisting in drafting reports, documenting findings, and maintaining compliance records.
- Conducting research on laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments to strengthen compliance initiatives.
- Helping identify practical solutions to risk and compliance challenges.
- Supporting process improvement and digitization efforts within the compliance function.
Qualifications
- A Finance Degree, Risk Management certificate, or other relevant qualification.
Skills and Competencies
- Attention to detail – Ability to identify errors and inconsistencies accurately.
- Integrity and ethics – Demonstrate honesty, confidentiality, and strong ethical standards.
- Analytical thinking – Capable of assessing risks and interpreting regulations logically.
- Communication skills – Clear written and verbal communication.
- Organizational skills – Efficiently manages tasks, deadlines, and documentation.
- Technical proficiency – Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and compliance software.
- Risk awareness – Understands operational, financial, legal, and reputational risks.
- Problem-solving ability – Assists in identifying practical solutions to compliance challenges.
- Adaptability, teamwork, professionalism, and strong time management.
