Background

Responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction & maintenance of road infrastructure. Ensure projects meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Key Duties

• Review & interpret engineering drawings, specs, and contract docs.
• Plan & schedule roadwork activities, resources, and timelines.
• Supervise site works – earthworks, grading, paving, drainage, and utilities.
• Conduct quality checks, material testing, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage project budget, cost control, and reporting.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and local authorities.
• Maintain site documentation, logs, and HSE records.
• Resolve technical issues and implement design changes as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering,
• Must be Registered Engineer with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
• 3 -5 years experience in managing the implementation of Performance-based contracts.
