JOB DETAILS:

Background information about the job or company

EMC Electrical Mechanical Contractor Limited is seeking a Safety Officer.

Responsibilities or duties

Ensure compliance with mine safety regulations and company safety policies.

Conduct risk assessments and identify workplace hazards.

Perform regular safety inspections of pumps, pipelines, and work areas.

Provide safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks to workers.

Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare reports.

Implement and monitor emergency response procedures.

Maintain safety records and reports.

Promote safe work practices and a strong safety culture among workers.

Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
