Role Overview

The Safety Officer will be responsible for overseeing, implementing, and enforcing our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies across the manufacturing plant to ensure zero-harm operations.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor OHS policies, protocols, and safety guidelines on the production floor.

Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.

Ensure full compliance with Zambian labour laws and statutory safety regulations.

Facilitate regular safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for staff.

Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.

Minimum Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.

At least 2 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or mining.

In-depth knowledge of Zambian OHS legislation and guidelines.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Valid first aid and fire safety certification is an added advantage.
