Background

The Zambia Institute of Mass Communication (ZAMCOM) was established under the ZAMCOM Act of Parliament of 1996 to provide Communications and Media training and production services.

ZAMCOM is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the following position;

SALES AGENTS (COMMISSION BASED)

Reporting to Commercial Manager

Role Summary

The Commission-Based Sales Agent will be responsible for driving revenue growth by actively marketing and selling ZAMCOM’s diverse portfolio of services. The role focuses on client acquisition, relationship management, and achieving defined sales targets through proactive engagement in both corporate and individual markets. The agent serves as a brand representative of ZAMCOM in the field, promoting its training programs, media services, production offerings, and related solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell ZAMCOM’s services, including media production, training programs, printing, branding, broadcasting, and hospitality offerings.
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients across public, private, and NGO sectors.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging client needs.
  • Achieve agreed monthly or quarterly sales targets.
  • Prepare and submit timely sales reports, including pipelines, conversions, and revenue performance.
  • Represent ZAMCOM at exhibitions, trade fairs, corporate events, and promotional campaigns.
  • Support marketing initiatives such as product launches, campaigns, and outreach activities.
  • Maintain a professional brand image of ZAMCOM in all client interactions.

Commission and Terms

  1. Attractive commissions will be paid on every successful sale.

Eligibility

Individuals or companies with the following credentials:

  • Company
    • Registered company
    • Tax Clearance
    • NAPSA & NHIMA Compliant
    • Possesses marketing or sales competencies
  • Individual
    • Full Grade 12 Certificate
    • Certificate in Sales and Marketing or any related field.
    • Diploma in Sales and Marketing or related will be an added advantage.
    • Must be self-driven, results-oriented, and interested in sales and marketing.
