Background
The Sale and Embroidery Machine Operator will be responsible for generating embroidery sales leads and clients, running and maintaining commercial embroidery machines to produce high-quality branded apparel. The role includes sales, preparing designs, digitising artwork, setting up machines, monitoring production, and ensuring all orders meet Kutwila’s quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Bring in embroidery clients
- Operate and maintain embroidery machines
- Prepare and digitise artwork using embroidery software
- Load threads, needles, stabilizers, and materials
- Ensure proper machine tension, thread trimming, and stitch quality
- Conduct test runs before production
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance
- Maintain accurate production records
- Ensure orders are completed on time with high accuracy
- Uphold company quality standards and safety procedures
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience operating commercial embroidery machines
- Proficient in digitising software (e.g., Wilcom, Hatch, or similar)
- Ability to create and modify embroidery designs
- Strong attention to detail
- Honest, sober-minded, and self-motivated
- Able to work with little to no supervision
- Good communication and time management skills
