Background
Barloworld Equipment provides total solutions in earthmoving equipment, materials handling and power systems and related equipment in 10 countries in Southern Africa. As the appointed Caterpillar dealer in the region, Barloworld Equipment supplies equipment, parts and service to customers in the mining, construction, handling, agricultural and energy industries.
Barloworld Equipment Zambia Limited is looking for a suitably qualified individuals to fill the positions below:
SALES CONSULTANT - POWER (01)
KITWE
Applicants suitably qualified based on the requirements stated below are invited to apply for the positions.
Job Purpose:
The successful candidates will drive revenue growth by selling power solutions, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored energy products to meet customer needs.
Key Outputs include but are not limited to:
- Meet month-to-month sales targets in New Retail Electrical Power.
- Upselling other products/services linked to Perkins Electric Power and Industrial engines
- Grow and sustain engines sales within allocated territories/ customer base.
- Effective territory and accounts management
- Tender process management.
- Generate leads and build customer relationships.
- Find new business opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline for future deals.
- Accurately and efficiently deal with sales administrative tasks.
- Sales forecasting.
- Effective self-management and performance ownership.
- Manage all aspects of sales process.
- Knowledge of Perkins Electric Power and Industrial product line including accessories and work tools
- Knowledge of CRM
- Knowledge of MS office
Minimum Job Requirements
- Full Grade certificate
- 3- 5 years sales experience of Electrical power and or industrial equipment/ engines
- Electrical engineering/ Mechanical engineering degree from a recognised institution
- Salesforce Experience.
- Computer Literacy & Knowledge of MS office.
- Good customer relationship skills.
- Business planning and development skills and knowledge.
- Strong communication, negotiating and presentation skills.
- Time and self-management
- Sound technical knowledge of Perkins engines, accessories and work tools.
- Extensive Experience in a Technical Sales Role (Electrical Power and or Industrial Equipment).
- Financial acumen (costs & trading margins).
Proven competencies:
Consultative selling, Power/energy product knowledge, Client relationship management, Proposal development, Revenue & target achievement.
