Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team in Zambia. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for promoting and selling Normet’s products and services to customers in the mining and tunneling sectors. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions using Normet’s product portfolio.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Develop and submit competitive quotations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales.
- Provide technical support and after-sales service to customers.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Achieve sales targets and objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mining, Civil, or related field) or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the mining, tunneling, or heavy equipment industry.
- Strong technical understanding of mining and tunneling equipment and processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Zambia and potentially abroad.
- Valid driver's license.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience is required. Experience in the mining or tunneling industry is highly desirable.
