The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth in Zambia through client acquisition, relationship management, market expansion, and achievement of sales targets. The role focuses on identifying business opportunities, managing key accounts, supporting tender processes, and strengthening market presence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Zambia.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis.
  • Generate leads and convert prospects into customers.
  • 2. Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, distributors, schools, institutions, and corporate partners.
  • Conduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • 4. Sales Operations & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate sales records and CRM updates.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Monitor stock availability and coordinate with logistics teams.
  • Track sales performance against targets.
  • 5. Market Intelligence
  • Monitor industry trends and customer needs.
  • Provide feedback to management on product improvements and market opportunities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Revenue growth and sales target achievement
  • New client acquisition rate
  • Customer retention levels
  • Timely reporting accuracy

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years sales experience (preferably in education, publishing, FMCG, or B2B sectors).
  • Experience working in the Zambian Publishing market is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
