Tsapo Industries Zambia Limited is a leading dealer of brand-new commercial vehicles and heavy equipment, representing top international brands including FAW, Sino, Lovol, Ashok Leyland and Golden Dragon buses. We supply trucks, buses and earth-moving equipment to customers across Zambia and the region, and we are seeking a motivated Sales & Marketing Officer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to grow vehicle and equipment sales.
  • Manage customer relationships and provide professional product consultations and demonstrations.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and negotiate contracts to close deals.
  • Coordinate with after-sales, parts and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute marketing activities including promotions, trade shows, digital marketing and product launches.
  • Maintain and update CRM records, sales forecasts, and regular performance reports.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing; provide market intelligence to management.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven with proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Proficient in MS Office and experience with CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Excellent communication (English) and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Experience needed

  • 2–4 years’ proven experience in sales and/or marketing preferably in automotive, heavy equipment, transport or construction sectors.
  • Good understanding of commercial vehicle/equipment products and the Zambia market is an advantage.
