JOB DETAILS:

The Security Guard is responsible for protecting company and client property, maintaining order, and ensuring the safety of people, assets, and premises by enforcing security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Protect client premises by monitoring, patrolling, and securing assigned locations.
• Control entry and exit points, verifying identification and authorization where required.
• Conduct routine inspections and report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, and take appropriate action.
• Monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment (where applicable).
• Maintain detailed incident reports, occurrence books, and daily security logs.
• Assist in crowd control and access management during events or emergencies.
• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors in a professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, and client site regulations.
• Perform searches (vehicles, personnel, bags) when required.
• Safeguard equipment, vehicles, and other assets from theft, vandalism, or damage.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must hold a valid National Registration Card (NRC).
• Physically fit and medically cleared for security duties.
• Minimum Grade 12 certificate; additional security training is an advantage.
• Prior experience as a security guard or in law enforcement is preferred.
• Good communication and observation skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Integrity, discipline, and strong work ethic.
• Basic knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
• Must own a mobile phone for communication while on duty.
