Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Mine Engineer – Dumps & Infrastructure to manage and optimize mine waste dump planning and associated infrastructure development. This is a leadership role in one of Africa’s largest copper operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize waste dump layouts in line with life-of-mine plans
• Supervise construction of mine infrastructure including haul roads and drainage systems
• Perform stability analyses and ensure geotechnical compliance
• Liaise with the Geotech, Survey, and Production teams for alignment
• Manage contractors and engineering consultants
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering
• 6+ years’ experience in open-pit mine planning and infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in mine planning software (Surpac, MineSched, or similar)
• Strong understanding of geotechnical and environmental standards
• Strong leadership and project management skills

Level of Education: bachelor degree
