A reputable transport and logistics company in Zambia is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair trailer mechanical faults and breakdowns.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on trailers.
• Repair suspension systems, braking systems, air systems, axles, and electrical wiring.
• Perform welding and fabrication work when required.
• Ensure all trailers meet road safety and company standards.
• Supervise junior mechanics and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on heavy-duty trailers.
• Strong knowledge of trailer air brake systems, suspension, and hydraulics.
• Trade certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Heavy Equipment Repair.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Good problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license (Class CE added advantage).
