Background

Applicants should have a “customer first” approach and be prepared to be involved in all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key point of contact for workshop customers.
  • Receive customer enquiries and understand service requirements.
  • Prepare job cards, schedules and follow up on job progress.
  • Provide accurate information on repairs, costs and delivery times.
  • Liaise with technicians and parts department to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and timeously.
  • Ensure all administration and records are accurate and up to date.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment in line with company H&S policies.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Technical qualification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Service Advisor or similar role in the automotive, transport, or heavy vehicle industry.
  • Strong knowledge of truck and trailer components and systems.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and workshop management systems).
  • Health and Safety qualification and/or experience in a workshop, transport, manufacturing, or engineering environment will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Valid Code B Driver’s Licence.
