Key Responsibilities

• Deliver customer training and technical support for Sandvik Crushers to ensure optimal equipment use.
• Perform mechanical and process maintenance at customer mine sites, focusing on fixed plant crushing and screening operations.
• Identify, report, and resolve technical issues safely and efficiently.
• Install and commission new Sandvik equipment, ensuring smooth operational handover.
• Support installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis teams to maximize equipment uptime.
• Conduct repairs and troubleshooting using a practical, hands-on approach.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams and customers to support equipment and aftermarket sales initiatives.
• Assist with parts list management and parts planning to support maintenance activities.
• Provide detailed feedback on equipment condition, performance, and process audits to enhance maintenance planning and equipment integrity.
• Identify evolving customer service needs and offer technical information and solutions accordingly.
• Work towards achieving established customer and Sandvik KPIs.
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and after-hours callouts as required.
• Adhere strictly to Sandvik’s health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Qualification as a Mechanical Technician, Fitter, Boilermaker, or Diesel Mechanic.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
• Proven experience servicing mineral processing and fixed plant equipment.
• Highly regarded experience with fixed plant crushing and screening equipment.
• Strong technical expertise in preventative maintenance and service repairs of crushing and screening equipment.
• Hands-on hydraulic repair experience.
• Skills in automation setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Exceptional fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of crushing and screening operations in both surface and underground mining environments.

Additional Requirements

• Valid passport with readiness to travel throughout the Central African region at short notice.
• Possession of a driver’s licence recognized in Zambia.
