National Milling Corporation Limited, is a reputable multinational milling company specialized in the manufacturing of various flour, mealie meal, stockfeed products also trades in rice and other products wishes to engage flexible and energetic persons to fill one (1) vacant position of Shift Fitter in Lusaka.

Responsibilities or duties

Responsible for performing various tasks of having to support the mechanical maintenance team to repair, service and maintain mechanical equipment, machines, systems, installations and components ensuring to resolve operational or technical mechanical problems to minimize interruptions resulting from breakdown failure during production at assigned location.

Ensure to undertake preventive maintenance of the plant, mechanical equipment, machines and systems in accordance with the manufacturer's manuals recommendations ensuring to focus on high levels to maximize production i.e. Plan, schedule and organize own work within the requirement of the work and further coordinate with others to complete tasks assigned based on priority.

Ensure to provide daily feedback and reports to assigned supervisor of progress and also work completed against schedule ensuring reasons for variances are recorded ensuring to recommend for action to be taken for elimination of future delays.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Interested candidates must have a full grade 12 school certificate and a craft certificate in Mechanical engineering with three (3) years’ previous working experience in such a similar role and able to work with minimum supervisor.
