JOB DETAILS:
The role
Assisting the Shop Attendant with the day-to-day operations of the shop, supporting stock management, maintaining store presentation, and delivering excellent customer service while helping grow the customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with stock and sales records as directed by the Shop Attendant.
- Provide accurate product information and guide customers in making purchasing decisions.
- Engage customers, promote products, and actively recruit new customers to increase sales.
- Support daily sales activities and customer service.
- Assist with FIFO/FEFO practices and report damaged or expired stock.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and attractive product displays.
- Support receiving, shelving, replenishing, and counting stock.
- Assist the Shop Attendant with daily store operations.
Key Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Certificate in sales and marketing or any related field is an added advantage.
- Excellent customer relations
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills
- At least 2 years’ work experience as a Shop Attendant or related field
- Computer literate
- Able to speak Swahili for the Kasumbalesa is a preferred
