Zambia Sugar Plc is the country’s leading sugar producer and is committed to sustainable growth and development. We are seeking to employ a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Site Health Quality Compliance Coordinator.

Responsibilities

The Site Health Quality Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Providing HSE training and awareness programs to employees.
  • Managing and maintaining HSE documentation and records.
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
  • Promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or agricultural sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Zambian HSE legislation and international standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and management techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
