Responsibilities or duties

Maintenance Planning and Scheduling

  • Develop weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance plans for all OEM equipment.
  • Schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate planned shutdowns and machine service interventions with client maintenance teams.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules align with OEM recommendations and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare daily work schedules for technicians and supervisors.

Work Order Management

  • Create, issue, and track work orders.
  • Monitor work order completion and ensure accurate closure in the maintenance management system.
  • Verify that all labor hours, parts usage, and maintenance records are captured correctly.
  • Maintain equipment maintenance history and service records.

Resource Planning

  • Forecast manpower requirements for planned maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate availability of tools, consumables, and special equipment.
  • Ensure service personnel are deployed efficiently to meet operational requirements.

Spare Parts Planning

  • Monitor spare parts consumption and stock levels.
  • Generate parts forecasts based on equipment running hours and maintenance schedules.
  • Liaise with supply chain and warehouse personnel to prevent stock-outs.
  • Support procurement planning for long lead-time components.

Equipment Performance Monitoring

  • Track machine availability, utilization, reliability, and downtime.
  • Analyze maintenance trends and identify recurring equipment failures.
  • Support root cause analysis initiatives.
  • Recommend maintenance improvements to enhance equipment performance.

Client Coordination

  • Attend daily, weekly, and monthly planning meetings with the client.
  • Communicate upcoming maintenance requirements and machine downtime forecasts.
  • Ensure alignment between OEM support activities and client production plans.
  • Maintain professional relationships with client representatives.

Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs) including:
  • Equipment Availability
  • Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
  • Mean Time To Repair (MTTR)
  • Schedule Compliance
  • Work Order Backlog
  • Spare Parts Availability
  • Present performance reports to OEM and client management.

Health, Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure all planned activities comply with site safety requirements.
  • Verify that permits, risk assessments, and maintenance procedures are in place before work execution.
  • Promote a zero-harm safety culture.
