We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and results-driven professional to join our team as a Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) Officer.
The Role
The SBCC Officer will provide technical leadership in the design, coordination, and implementation of social and behaviour change communication strategies aimed at increasing awareness, demand, and uptake of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
- Raising awareness among adolescents, young people, and underserved communities.
- Promoting informed decision-making on family planning and reproductive health.
- Addressing social, cultural, and knowledge barriers that affect access to SRH services.
- Strengthening community engagement and stakeholder participation through evidence-based communication approaches.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:
- A Diploma or Degree in Public Health, Health Communication, Behavioural Science, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in social and behaviour change communication, community engagement, and facilitating community-led initiatives.
- Experience working within public health, reproductive health, or development programs will be an added advantage.
- Fluency in English and at least one local Zambian language.
