Job Description:

Bumara is an AI-powered ERP platform for African businesses, bringing together compliance, accounting, payroll, CRM, inventory, and document management. We are seeking a Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain our web applications and backend services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable web and backend applications.
• Implement features across ERP modules and ensure seamless integrations.
• Work with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Node.js (Hono), and BaaS (Convex/Appwrite).
• Write clean, tested code; participate in code reviews and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate closely with co-founders and product to deliver business value.
• Contribute to AI-powered features and automation where applicable.

Qualification    Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a full-stack developer (or strong front/back-end with willingness to learn).
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with React/Next.js.
• Backend experience with Node.js and/or BaaS (Convex, Firebase, Appwrite).
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows, testing, and CI/CD.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SaaS/ERP platforms.
• AI integrations (e.g., OpenAI APIs).
• Familiarity with Zambian systems (ZRA, PACRA, NAPSA).
