Responsibilities or duties

The Sous Chef acts as the second-in-command in the kitchen, assisting the Executive Chef with daily operations. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, managing food station set-ups, ensuring consistent food standards, and stepping in for the Executive Chef during their absence. The Sous Chef also plays a key role in training junior kitchen staff and maintaining inventory and hygiene standards.
