JOB PURPOSE

To undertake the development and implementation of standards in order to provide a regulatory framework for Higher Education Institutions.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Policy and Programme Development: Undertakes the development and implementation of policies and programmes to guide operations of Higher Education Institutions.

Standards Development and Implementation: Undertakes timely development and implementation of standards to guide registration, institutional audits, and accreditation.

Research and Analysis: Undertakes research on emerging issues to inform regulatory decision-making.

Monitoring and Evaluation of Standards: Undertakes monitoring and evaluation of standards.

Reporting and Information Dissemination: Undertakes preparation of reports including the State of Higher Education Report.

Budgeting and Resource Planning: Undertakes preparation of Unit budget.

Performance Management: Undertakes preparation of work plans.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Academic & Professional Qualifications

Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology or a Social Science discipline earned from a recognised Higher Education Institution.

Experience

Three (3) years’ experience, preferably in an institution of Learning
