Key Responsibilities
- Ensure students’ discipline and harmony among students and staff, and recommend any course of action for erring students.
- Conduct group counselling to students on personal, educational, and career guidance
- Clear students upon completion of the college term.
- Advise on placement of students
- Carry out the orientation of new students.
- Arranges places for Industrial attachment to assist in the placement of students.
- Perform duties of administration and supervision of students’ hostels, matron, and other hostel-related matters.
- Control students’ publications to ensure acceptable publications.
- Liaise with Industry and other stakeholders to acquire information on student placement and performance.
- Liaise with Training departments on student placement and ensure smooth flow of information between departments and the Students’ Affairs Office.
- Administer and recommend bursaries and sponsorship for qualifying students.
- Capture students’ data for both new and returning students, update students’ statistical returns, and prepare, compile, and update the class register.
- Attend the body of examiners’ meetings.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications and Experience.
- Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- A diploma in Guidance, Counselling, and Placement or Psychosocial Counselling.
- Minimum of two (2) years of practical experience in a similar role.
- Mature individual, not less than 30 years old.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Must be computer literate.
