About the Technical Assistant Role – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research & Learning (MEARL)

The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) is pleased to announce exciting technical assistant jobs in Lusaka, Zambia. We are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis for a period of 10 months. This role focuses on Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research & Learning (MEARL), supporting data-driven decision-making and knowledge management across our programmes.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing and operationalizing MEARL systems within ZACCI. You will coordinate data collection, validation, and analysis, while ensuring quality assurance across multiple projects. This position demands a proactive approach to managing digital platforms, developing insightful dashboards, and producing comprehensive performance reports that enhance institutional learning and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities for Technical Assistant Jobs in Lusaka

  • Design and implement Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research, and Learning systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee data collection, validation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Conduct user research and assessments to identify beneficiary needs and challenges.
  • Manage digital data platforms for efficient data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, analytics reports, and learning products to support programme evaluation.

  • Proven experience in MEARL, programme management, or related areas.
  • Competence in data collection, management, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, DHIS2, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and excellent report-writing skills.
  • Experience conducting surveys, user research, and field data collection.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and capacity-building skills.
  • Experience working with business membership organisations, chambers of commerce, or private sector development projects is an advantage.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confident presentation abilities.
