The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) was established by an Act of Parliament No. 15 of 1983 (as amended in 1994), Chapter 137 of the Laws of Zambia, repealed and replaced by the Examinations Council of Zambia Act No. 3 of 2023 whose mandate is to prepare and administer examinations and award certificates to candidates who pass the examinations. The vision of the Council is to be an Educational Assessment Body of Excellence.
Applications from suitably qualified candidates are invited to fill the following position at the Examinations Council of Zambia Headquarters.
Responsibilities or duties
Reporting to the Senior Stores Officer, the Stores Officer will receive, record and issue acquired goods in compliance with organization regulations and procedures.
- Issue items required timely to all end users according to stock requisition.
- Monitor stock levels and note discrepancies and obsolete items.
- Maintain all stock records and bin cards.
- Update stock records promptly and accurately.
- Facilitate inspections of all in-coming items in conjunction with the users.
- Maintain systematic shelving, binning and palletizing of items.
- Set targets and agree to performance measures in order to meet the strategic objectives of ECZ.
Qualifications or requirements
- School Certificate or its equivalent
- CIPS level 4 or its equivalent
- Affiliate Member of ZIPS or CIPS
- Valid ZIPS practicing certificate
Experience needed
- 2 years relevant experience
- Must NOT be in formal employment.
- Issue items required timely to all end users according to stock requisition.
- Monitor stock levels and note discrepancies and obsolete items.
