Keepers Zambia Foundation in partnership with People in Need Zambia (PIN) and the lead partners, CELIM, are implementing the project, Integrated Action for Mitigating the Effects of Climate Change on the Most Vulnerable Communities in Zambia (AIM Zambia). The project is funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) through AICS. Project targets are in 7 districts (Sikongo, Shangombo, Namwala, Kalomo, Chibombo, Mumbwa and Lusaka). However, KZF is implementing 3 districts, Sikongo, Shangombo, Namwala, Kalomo.

The project has 3 result areas, Food and Nutrition, WASH, and Protection. KZF is implementing WASH in Sikongo, Shangombo, Namwala, Kalomo.

As part of its WASH interventions, the project will rehabilitate handpumps in selected communities and institutions withing the project target areas.

Scope of Work

The proposed intervention is a general complete overhaul rehabilitation of six (6) handpumps in selected project areas:

3.1 Southern Province – Two in Namwala (i.e. Hitusenke & Nyumba yanfumu community boreholes in Mandondo ward) and one in Kalomo (at Mwili School in Mikata ward) districts.

3.2 Western Province – Two in Sikongo (i.e. Mabua School and Sikushi School boreholes) and one in Shangombo (at Makalati Primary school)

REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBLE BIDDERS

The Bidder is required to submit the following:

1. Propose works and financial offer

2. Valid NCC category B or C

3. Valid ZPPA Certificate

4. Valid PACRA Registration

5. Valid TPIN

6. Workers’ Compensation

7. Company Profile with physical address

8. Valid EIZ registration License

9. Valid Tax Clearance certificate

10. Provision of brief method statement

11. Provision of 3 Months latest bank statements

12. Duration of project & Gant chat showing schedule of works

13. Proof of experience in similar works (Certifications of completion, award letters, Purchase orders etc.).

Personnel, Experience and Equipment

1. Registered EIZ Water engineer, civil engineer,

2. hydrogeologist, hydrologist or related qualifications with diploma or degree added

 

advantage with at least 2 years’ experience for supervision of work.

3. Plumber with at least 3 years’ experience

4. Own and reliable equipment

The Bidder is encouraged to visit and examine the site and its surroundings and obtain for itself all information that may be necessary for preparing the bid. The costs of visiting the site shall be at the Bidder’s own expense, risk and responsibility.

CONTRACT

Successful bidders shall be notified, and the contract agreement shall be sent for review and signing.

PROJECT DURATION

The Client expects the project to be completed within 30 days of the date of signing the contract.

DEADLINE FOR BIDS SUBMISSION

All BIDs must be sealed, clearly marked “LOT 1” and deposited no later than the 18th of March 2026 by 13:00hrs, addressed to
