Tender for the Design & Construction of a Small Weir Dam in Bbondo Ward, Gwembe District-PC3644

Background

Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and DanChurchAid (DCA) have implemented the Zambia Joint Country Programme since 2011, working together to deliver humanitarian assistance and long-term development interventions that save lives, build resilient communities, and seek justice. In partnership with civil society organisations, government institutions, and local communities, the Joint Country Programme implements sustainable initiatives that strengthen resilience and improve livelihoods across Zambia.

Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and DanChurchAid (DCA) Zambia hereby invites eligible and qualified contractors to submit bids for the Design & Construction of a Small Weir Dam in Bbondo Ward, Gwembe District, Southern Province.

The assignment forms part of the RECHARGE Programme, which seeks to improve water security and climate resilience through enhanced groundwater recharge, erosion control, and sustainable water resource management. The proposed weir dam will contribute to improved livelihoods and increased resilience of communities in the project area.

The Candidates are invited to visit and examine the site of the works and its surroundings in order to assess, at their own responsibility, expense and risk, all factors necessary for the preparation of their proposals on 5th August 2026. Confirmation of the site visit must be made no later than Thursday, 30^th July 2026 at 12:00 hrs to Procurement.Zambia@nca.no
