JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
Assisting the maintenance department in the establishment of preventative and responsive maintenance and ensure maximum operational performance is achieved in safe and cost-effective manner while compliance with relevant procedures, policies, legal requirements, and consent conditions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Cutting and shaping metal materials to fit into new machines
- Measuring materials for metal fabrication
- Repairing different types of machinery and equipment
- Interpreting plans, diagrams and graphs for manufacturing operations
- Determining whether machinery requires new metal components
- Adhering to safety protocols for multiple types of tools and equipment
- Complying with relevant manufacturing laws and business regulations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
- Holder of craft certificate in Mechanical fitting and member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
- Physically fit
- Able to communicate in English.
- Able to with minimum supervision
- Being a member of engineering institute of Zambia is an added advantage.
