VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: TRAINING COORDINATOR – LOADING UNITS AND TRUCKS
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of Training Coordinator – loading units and trucks to join the versatile Human Resources department. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Operational Excellence Superintendent – you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality training programs for Load & Haul operations, including large mining trucks, shovels, excavators, and face-loading equipment.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Deliver effective training, coaching, and on-the-job assessments for Load & Haul equipments
- Facilitate capability assessments, workplace competency assessments, and refresher training as required.
- Ensure alignment and compliance to the Operator Competency Scorecard and the LMC BOE Model.
- Support the development and maintenance of up-to-date training materials, including facilitator guides, SOPs, SWPs, and assessment tools.
- Promote operational excellence through consistent demonstration of best-practice operating techniques in the field.
- Identify training needs based on operational requirements, skills gaps, and production performance indicators
- Work collaboratively with Senior Training Specialists, Mining Supervisors, and key stakeholders to design, plan, and implement targeted training interventions
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 Full Certificate
- Diploma in teaching methodology/ Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- Minimum 7 years’ experience operating and/or training in Load & Haul (trucks, shovels, hydraulic excavators, rope shovels and Sleipner).
- TEVETA accreditation.
- Strong understanding of mining operational standards, OEM practices, and competency-based training models
- Experience with LMS, training recording systems, and IQA processes
