Background
Apostolic Voice Education Trust (AVET) is a faith-based nonprofit empowering underprivileged communities in Africa through Christ-centered education, leadership development, discipleship, and community transformation. Our mission is to raise Kingdom-minded reformers who drive lasting change in their communities.
Position Overview
We are seeking 7 volunteer Directors to join AVET’s online leadership team. This is a non-compensated, high-responsibility volunteer role for individuals who are passionate about supporting education, leadership, and community development in Africa. Directors will provide strategic guidance, assist with planning and fundraising, and help grow AVET’s impact globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making for AVET programs.
- Assist in fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and partnership development.
- Provide oversight and guidance for organizational projects and programs.
- Offer expertise and advice in areas such as leadership, education, technology, communications, and community development.
- Attend online board meetings and participate in planning sessions (scheduled quarterly or as needed).
- Serve as a representative of AVET in professional and public engagements where appropriate.
- Support the organization in innovation and growth strategies to enhance impact.
Qualifications
- Commitment to AVET’s Christ-centered mission and values.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, education, nonprofit management, fundraising, or related fields.
- Ability to participate in online meetings and communicate effectively remotely.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for community transformation.
- Willingness to volunteer without expectation of financial compensation.
