Apostolic Voice Education Trust (AVET) is seeking passionate volunteers from across Zambia and Africa to join our Community News & Media Team.

This is a volunteer opportunity (unpaid), but all participants will receive a certificate of participation.

We are recruiting 50 committed volunteers to help us collect stories, manage social media, and create media content to support AVET’s mission of empowering communities through Christ-centered education and leadership.

Responsibilities or duties

1️⃣ Community Reporters / Correspondents (15 spots)

  • Share updates and stories from your community.
  • Take photos, videos, or notes of events, initiatives, and inspiring stories.
  • Submit content regularly to AVET’s media hub.
  • Follow AVET’s values and reporting guidelines.

2️⃣ Social Media Managers (10 spots)

  • Manage AVET’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn).
  • Schedule posts, engage followers, and monitor trends.
  • Ensure posts reflect AVET’s mission and brand identity.

3️⃣ Graphic Designers / Media Creators (15 spots)

  • Design visuals, infographics, banners, and short videos.
  • Ensure all content aligns with AVET’s brand (colors, fonts, logos).
  • Support social media managers with media-ready content.

4️⃣ Content Editors / Media Coordinators (10 spots)

  • Review and edit submissions from reporters and media creators.
  • Maintain a content calendar and coordinate posting schedules.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, high-quality, and mission-focused.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Passionate about community transformation and media.
  • Able to communicate clearly in English (additional local languages a plus).
  • Understand volunteering and are committed to serving without payment.
  • Access to a smartphone, camera, or computer (depending on role).
  • Able to submit work on time and follow AVET guidelines.
