Role Overview – Warehouse Assistant Jobs in Kitwe
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and team to ensure the smooth handling of inventory. Your responsibilities will include organizing, processing, packaging, scanning, and preparing stock for delivery, all while maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Move inventory and materials efficiently across warehouse facilities
- Process inventory accurately for delivery and dispatch
- Assist with receiving, storing, and dispatching stock
- Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and safety standards in the warehouse
- Support inventory management through cycle counts and record keeping
- Perform daily physical stock counts and inspect warehouse grounds
- Identify and communicate discrepancies or errors to relevant parties
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in designated locations
- Package items correctly and ensure accurate labeling
- Scan delivered items and verify quality standards
- Collaborate as an active team member to achieve operational goals
- Assist in preparing documentation and inventory reports for audits
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Minimum of a Full Grade Twelve certificate
- Diploma in Purchase and Supply Management, Stores/Warehouse Management, or Business Management
- At least 3 years of experience in stores or warehouse management
- Experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector is an advantage
- Physical ability to lift and handle inventory items
- Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
- Preferably residing in Kitwe or Ndola with own accommodation
- Qualified and experienced female candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
