Job Overview:
The Warehouse Assistant will support the smooth operation of our warehouse facility by assisting with inventory management, order fulfillment, and general warehouse tasks. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods and materials.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to specifications.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely, if trained.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals and deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of work experience, preferably in a warehouse, logistics, or related environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (up to [specify weight, e.g., 25 kg] as required).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking (preferred).
- Forklift certification or experience (an advantage but not mandatory).
- Must reside in Lusaka, preferably near Twin Palm.
