About the Role
Umoyo is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse operations within a fast-paced manufacturing and food-processing environment.
This role is critical in ensuring efficient inventory management, uninterrupted production support, food safety compliance, and cost-effective logistics operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening our supply chain and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Ensure continuous availability of materials to support production and prevent downtime
- Manage inventory accuracy using WMS/ERP systems and enforce FIFO/FEFO principles
- Lead stock control processes including cycle counts, audits, and variance resolution
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and SHERQ standards
- Supervise, train, and manage warehouse staff to achieve performance targets
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce safety procedures
- Monitor KPIs and prepare operational and inventory reports
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimization
- Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Logistics teams
Minimum Requirements
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations, preferably in manufacturing or food processing
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems
- Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply

- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent planning, organization, and multitasking abilities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Added Advantages
- Experience in food and beverage manufacturing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and systems
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or CIPS
